The VibroChecker PRO app turns the iPhone/iPad into a professional measurement device By: Ronald Nelson August 01, 2016, 0 Comments

ACE Stoßdämpfer GmbH expands its range of useful apps for vibration measurement. VibroChecker PRO is the name of the latest software for the iOS operating system, which simply, quickly and professionally turns an iPhone or iPad into a device for measuring vibrations and impacts.

The innovation is a further development on the very successful VibroChecker app, which has served thousands of users as a mobile vibration measurement device since its introduction in 2014 and, in the same year, was chosen as prize winner of the “automation app awards 2014” in the “Engineering-App” category by readers of the Elektrotechnik trade magazine.

Whilst vibrations can be quickly and simply measured on machines and components within a frequency range of up to 50 Hz with the free VibroChecker, the new VibroChecker PRO app expands the range up to 8000 Hz. This is made possible by simply connecting an external sensor with the iPhone or iPad via the lightning or USB interface and activating it with the app. In comparison with the regular, heavier measurement systems used up until now, this new combination provides users with very high-performance and cost-effective measurement equipment with a total weight of less than 1 kg. In the range up to 50 Hz, both the VibroChecker and the VibroChecker PRO optionally use the acceleration sensors, gyroscopes and microphones integrated in the iPhone and iPad. In the ranges above this level, the connection between the VibroChecker PRO and the external USB sensor Digiducer 333D01 (www.digiducer.com), not included in the nominal fee for the app of 23 Euros, respectively 23 U.S. dollars, ensures even more professional measurements of up to 8000 Hz.

ACE is expanding its service expertise even further with this solution and is providing its own technical staff as well as ACE’s sale partner experts with a professional tool for the measurement of vibrations and impacts with the VibroChecker PRO. After completing the measurement, the results can be saved or simply sent to your own desktop, own specialist department or to the customer by e-mail. This new app is available straight away in the iTunes store for the above-mentioned fee, which is charged for the further development of updates, by following the link:
